Electret technology:
  • The technology imparts a high-density charge to polypropylene- and polyester-based nonwovens and gives them a virtually permanent charge.
  • In addition, treated products resist discharge (such as the EN-779 IPA discharge protocol) and have been shown to outperform other charged media in high humidity and high saline environments.
  • For filtration applications, the technology allows the filter to achieve high levels of efficiency at lower than expected pressure drops.
Other surface modification chemistries:
  • Hydrophobic / Hydrophilic: The N-Fuse technology can render nonwoven webs either hydrophobic or hydrophilic, opening up new applications for nonwovens not typically able to have these properties.
